For the past several months DataSite has been hard at work expanding the electrical capacity of the DataSite Orlando facility. This fourth phase of expansion increases the facility to a total of 12 Megawatts of UPS and 16.8 Megawatts of backup power generators. With demand for wholesale colocation space increasing, an additional 2 megawatts of N+1 UPS capacity was required. The upgrades to the facility include two new redundant 12,470 volt utility feeds, an additional set of main-tie-tie-main switchgear. Four 750Kva Leibert UPS modules and a sixth 2.8 Megawatt generator. The commissioning and Integrated System Testing was completed in early April and the capacity is now online and available to new and existing DataSite clients.
