President

Jeff Burges is the President & Founder of DataSite; a wholesale colocation and custom data center provider. DataSite provides mission critical data center facility environments coupled with best-in-class facility operations. DataSite’s data center services solve complex Real Estate challenge for Technology intensive users from the corporate enterprise, managed service providers, content delivery networks and beyond. DataSite currently owns and operates world class facilities in three locations in the United States; Orlando Florida, Atlanta Georgia, and Boise Idaho.

Mr. Burges has owned and managed over 21 million square feet of commercial real estate, valued at over $2.5 Billion. These portfolios consisted of data centers, telecom hotels, bio-technology labs as well as traditional office and industrial properties throughout the United States. Through his 29 year career in commercial real estate, Mr. Burges has gained a deep understanding of the property and critical infrastructure needs of the most discriminating technology companies, while he simultaneously honed his fundamental real estate skill set. This combination enables DataSite to provide its clients with broad and uniquely valuable Data Center Solutions.

In 2003, Mr. Burges founded BURGES property + company with a specific strategy to purchase empty, undervalued and misunderstood data center properties as property investments. In 2008, Mr. Burges launched DataSite as the logical next step in providing the worldwide IT community best-in-class data center space by the kilowatt.

Giving back to the industry and community is very important to Mr. Burges. Thus, Mr. Burges has served as an Officer on the Board of Directors of the San Diego Chapter of NAIOP; the Commercial Real Estate Association. He is a regular speaker and mentor to students and faculty at UCSD, San Diego State University and the University of San Diego. Mr. Burges and his wife and children are avid supporters of the MARSOC Foundation (Marine Special Operations Command) at Camp Pendleton, California. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management Consulting.

Executive Vice President of Operations

Christine Sotelo is Vice President of Operations for DataSite. Her duties include budget preparation and oversight, financial reporting, contract services, tenant relations and human resources.

During her career, Ms. Sotelo has participated in the acquisition, disposition, and management of millions of square feet of office, retail, industrial and R&D real estate. She has specific expertise in property management, construction, and real estate repositioning.

Prior to joining Burges Property + Company, Ms. Sotelo served as asset manager for Shidler West Investment Corporation, a national real estate organization that actively acquired real estate for its own account. During her tenure, Ms. Sotelo was responsible for repositioning and managing over six million square feet of commercial properties in San Diego, Los Angeles, Orange County, and Austin, Texas.

Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing

Robert Wilson is the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for DataSite. Mr. Wilson brings to DataSite a seasoned and extensive reach in the critical facility and disaster recovery industry throughout the United States, and beyond. With over 15 years of experience dedicated to data center colocation services, managed IT services and web hosting service sales & marketing, Mr. Wilson has developed a wide array of relationships as well as a keen understanding of the critical facility requirements for a wide range of customer needs.

Prior to joining DataSite, Mr. Wilson held key positions at Savvis and SunGard Availability Services. At Savvis, Mr. Wilson was the Director of Account Management and was responsible for maintaining and growing the installed Internet, Managed Services, Private Network and Colocation services customer base. Mr. Wilson was the New Business Territory Manager for SunGard Availability Services’ Florida office responsible for acquiring new customers in Orlando, Tampa, Jacksonville, and South Florida as well as all government and education accounts in the Southeastern United States.

Mr. Wilson is a member of many key organizations like NAIOP & the National Center for Simulation & Training and is a graduate of the University of Maryland where he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics.
